March 12, 2010 - Due to the overwhelming popularity of its production at last year’s Fall/Winter Stylemax; MontréaL CollectionS has been invited again to present the 10th Edition of its renowned Fashion Show on Sunday morning, March 21, 2009 at 8:00 AM at the 8th Floor Special Events Atrium of the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
This eye-opener on the busiest day of the show will highlight 160 pieces from 27 edited lines direct from Canada’s Fashion Capital. Buyers will be treated to a sit-down, sumptuous Québec breakfast as models take to the runway.
Stylemax is Chicago’s premier women’s apparel and accessories market and the show is the gathering place for the crème de la crème of the women’s apparel industry. Manufacturers from throughout the world will be presenting the hottest looks for Fall 2010 to some of the most influential buyers in the nation.
The show runs concurrently with the National Bridal Market allowing buyers to select Montréal fashions from both shows during the same weekend.
Larry Liverman from Katherine Barclay loves the breakfast format, stating, “the buyers line up for the event a half hour in advance just to get a good seat for the show. These buyers are very serious.”
According to Keith Kalinowski, Attaché for the Quebec Delegation Chicago, “…this has been an exceptionally tough year for the apparel industry but our companies have succeeded by offering an exceptional quality product with good value while combining European refinement with North American comfort. Midwestern stores like the margins they can get with the lines from Montréal.”
Montreal is a city where design and designers, be they involved in the fields of interior, industrial, graphic, fashion or architectural design, represent a dynamic force of cultural and economic life. Montréal’s creativity and international way of life are well reflected through its variety of fashions; just the type of products that Midwest buyers are seeking to remain ahead of the competition.
Montréal is a unique city and one of the most fascinating in the world with a style all its own. In addition to Katherine Barclay, some of the other lines that Midwest buyers will be seeking from Montréal include:
Buyers attending Stylemax already know the advantages of good design from Montréal. The MontréaL CollectionS Fashion Show makes it that much easier by showcasing the finest lines in one place: in Chicago this Stylemax Sunday at 8 on 8!
